Key takeaways
- Check the things that stop a ready client from booking first: hours, address, booking link and the phone button on mobile.
- Tattoo removal service should be the primary category, with secondary categories only for services you actually provide at that address.
- Explain pricing structure and session planning on the site, so research-stage clients do not leave to find answers elsewhere.
- Put an owner and a date on every gap, and finish the list before January and again before graduation season.
This local SEO checklist for a tattoo removal clinic has fourteen items in four groups: Google profile, website, reviews and tracking. Most take under an hour each. Work through it this week, write a date beside every gap, and you will know which ones cost you consultations and which to close before the January rush.
The checklist
- Profile: primary category. Set it to Tattoo removal service. Add Laser hair removal service or Skin care clinic only if you sell those services at this address (Google's category rules).
- Profile: services list. List laser tattoo removal, fading for cover-ups and your multi-session packages, in the words clients use. Add the consultation if you offer one.
- Profile: address and hours. Show the real storefront address with the suite number. Set hours to when someone answers the phone, including evening or weekend consultation slots. Add holiday hours before December ends.
- Profile: photos of the actual clinic. Upload the exterior sign, the entrance, the waiting area, the treatment room and the team. A first-time client wants to see where they will sit before they book.
- Profile: booking link. Point the appointment link at the consultation slot in your booking platform, not at the homepage.
- Site: a page for each service. Laser removal, fading before a cover-up and packages each need their own page. One "laser services" page that also covers hair removal does not rank for any of them.
- Site: a pricing page. Explain how you price: by size, per session, as a package. State what the consultation costs, even if the answer is nothing.
- Site: a treatment-planning page. Explain in plain language what changes the course of treatment and why visits are spaced weeks apart. Do not promise a number.
- Site: a claims check. Remove "guaranteed", "painless", "scar-free" and "gone in a few sessions" from every page. They are medical claims you cannot stand behind in a consultation.
- Site: mobile basics and consistent details. Check that the phone number and booking button show on every page on a phone. Make sure the name, address and phone match the profile, Bing Places and Apple Business Connect exactly.
- Reviews: a request routine. Ask at the session where the client can see the fading, by text, with a direct link.
- Reviews: replies. Answer every review within a few days, without confirming that the reviewer is a client or mentioning their tattoo.
- Tracking: tagged links. Add tracking parameters to the website and booking links on the profile, so your analytics can separate Maps from organic search (Google Analytics setup).
- Tracking: source on every booking. Make "how did you find us" a required field on new consultations, and count consultations and packages started by source each month.

What to fix first
Fix what stops a ready client from booking, then what stops Google from showing you. A wrong hour or a dead booking link loses a client who had already chosen you. A wrong category only loses one who never saw you.
| Order | Items | Why this order |
|---|---|---|
| This week | 3, 5, 10 | A client who is ready to book hits these first |
| Next two weeks | 1, 2, 4 | Relevance and trust on the profile, where most local searches start (Google's ranking factors) |
| This month | 6, 7, 8, 9 | Clients still researching need answers before they will book a consultation |
| Ongoing | 11, 12, 13, 14 | Proof and measurement compound, so start them now and keep them running |
For example, a clinic owner who starts on a Monday could fix hours and the booking link the same day, rewrite the profile services by Friday, and have the pricing and fading pages live within the month. Each item gets a name beside it: you, the front desk lead or whoever runs your site.
How often to review
Review the profile briefly every week, the numbers every month, and the whole list twice a year before your two busy stretches.
- Weekly, ten minutes. Reply to new reviews, add one recent photo, check that the booking link still loads, and accept or reject any edits Google or the public suggested to your profile.
- Monthly, half an hour. Compare consultations from Maps and organic search with the month before. Note which service pages people landed on before they booked.
- Late fall. Run all fourteen items before January resolutions. Update package details, holiday hours and photos, and make sure the pricing page is current.
- Early spring. Run them again before graduation and job-search season, when visible tattoos and interview dates bring in a different kind of client.
The review routine has its own guide: getting more Google reviews. For the profile itself, see Google Business Profile optimization.
How VETS Growth Marketing helps
We run this checklist against your clinic, then turn it into a dated plan: which items we fix, which your team keeps up, and when each is done. The profile, site and booking links stay in your name throughout. We report the result in consultations booked from search, not in boxes ticked. Book a growth consultation and leave with your five highest-impact fixes, whether or not you hire us.
